Rimu & Harbour is a New Zealand events company. We design, fund, and operate our own festivals, from the first sketch to the last scan at the gate, and we build the technology that runs them.

Our story

Started in Wellington.
Built to travel.

Rimu & Harbour was founded in Wellington in 2026 with one conviction: New Zealand deserves festivals that are created here, owned here, and run properly. So we build our own. The concept, the brand, the vendor deals, the ticketing and the gate all live under one roof, on a platform we wrote ourselves.

The first property is NZ Pie Fest, a three day celebration of the thing this country genuinely loves. It is designed as a playbook: prove it in Wellington, then take it city by city.

The road so far, and ahead

2026, winter. Company founded in Wellington. Brand, playbook and the festival platform built in house.

2026, spring. Early bird tickets open, the first bakeries sign, and partnership conversations go to market.

2027, 15 to 17 January. NZ Pie Fest, first edition, Frank Kitts Park.

Next. A second city, then a calendar of properties. New Zealand first, then Australia and the Pacific.

Built, not booked

We create our own properties instead of promoting someone else's. Concept, brand, vendors, ticketing, and operations live under one roof, so quality is never outsourced.

Technology in house

Our platform runs the box office, the vendor stalls, the creator campaigns, and the gate scanners. Every ticket, token, and check in flows through systems we built and control.

City by city

Each festival is designed as a repeatable playbook. New Zealand first, then Australia and the Pacific. One city proves it, the next one scales it.

Three days at Frank Kitts Park. The country's best bakeries, each with one signature pie. A licensed bar, DJs into the evening, and the People's Pie, a public vote that crowns the best pie in New Zealand.

Daniel Rosas

Founder & Chief Executive Officer. Sets the vision and runs the build end to end: venue, vendors, partners, and the festival platform itself. If it happens at the festival, it crossed his desk first.

Juan Linares

Chief Financial Officer. Owns the numbers and the commercial model: the operating plan, vendor economics, insurance and the partnerships that make each edition stand on its own.

Around the leadership sits a working bench of specialists: legal and immigration counsel, an accountant, event safety advisers, and the Strategic Development team that runs partner outreach. An advisory board is planned as the company grows.
