Privacy policy

What we collect

Through this website we collect only what you choose to send us. That is typically your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, your organisation, and whatever you write in your message when you contact us about partnership, sponsorship, supply or working with us.

Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. We use this to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and continue that conversation.
• To assess and negotiate a possible commercial relationship with you or your organisation.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you sent us a business enquiry, and we only send marketing where you have asked for it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary: with service providers who operate our website, email and business systems on our behalf, with our professional advisers, and where the law requires it. Some providers store data outside New Zealand; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed for the relationship it relates to, and afterwards only as long as our legal and tax obligations require. We delete or anonymise it after that.

Keeping it safe

We hold personal information in access-controlled systems and limit who can see it to the people who need it. No system is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function. If that changes we will update this page and ask for consent where consent is required.

Website terms

Using this site

This website is provided for information about our company and our events. You may read it, share links to it, and contact us through it. You may not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or scrape it in a way that affects its operation.

Accuracy

We keep this site as accurate as we can, but event details, dates, pricing and plans can change while an event is being built. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing here forms a contract. Any commercial arrangement between us is set out in a signed agreement.

Our brand and content

The Rimu and Harbour and NZ Pie Fest names, logos, copy, images and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. Please do not reproduce them commercially without our written permission. Media and partners can request assets by emailing us.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another website, we do so for convenience. We are not responsible for its content or privacy practices.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply.

Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
